When guitarist John Paul Keith & bassist Amy LaVere formed Motel Mirrors in 2013, it felt to many people like a foregone conclusion: How could two such similar artists not collaborate? Inspired by the country duets of the 1950s, the duo’s self-titled debut EP was a roots music time warp that brought listeners back to a bygone era, albeit with a bit of modern flair. An instant hit with critics and audiences, the EP was hailed as one of the “10 Essential Albums of 2013” by No Depression and as one of Memphis’ best albums of the year by The Commercial Appeal.

With the recent addition of guitarist Will Sexton and drummer Shawn Zorn to the lineup, Motel Mirrors is now a full-fledged band replete with three songwriters and three singers whose sound remains as timeless as ever. The band performs often around Memphis and the South and is expected to release their debut album early next year.
