Roben Jones is the author of Memphis Boys: The Story of American Studios (University of Mississippi Press, 2010). She is from Hansford, West Virginia, and has been a record collector since the age of fourteen. She published a poetry chapbook, Twelve Days and Nights, at the age of seventeen and her poetry has appeared in Wild Sweet Notes: Fifty Years of West Virginia Poetry. With Tony Rounce and John Broven, she helped select the songs for the Ace Records compilation Memphis Boys, the soundtrack to the book, and contributed to its liner notes. She lives in Gallipolis, Ohio.
